There are many layers to working with the Enneagram for growth and one of those layers of insights is the triads. One way types can seem similar to one another is because they happen to share a triad. Each triad splits the nine Enneagram types into three groups of three Enneagram types. The three Enneagram types in each group relate to or interact with a certain theme in a similar fashion.
In this workshop, we will be discussing three different sets of triads.
Social Style Triads (also called Hornevian Triads) which give us insight into how we relate to others and how we get what we need/want. You may be assertive, compliant, or withdrawn.
Harmonic Pattern Triads which address how we respond to conflict and adversity. You may respond with a positive outlook, a need for competency, or with reactivity.
Object Relations Triads which describe how we respond to the world specifically as a result of our defining family relationships. Your response may be oriented around rejection, frustration, or attachment.
As you can imagine, understanding where your type fits into each of these triads can give you a wealth of knowledge about yourself that goes beyond understanding your Enneagram type alone.
